The Taliban are back

The Senlis Council published a very interesting and noteworthy report about Afghanistan. The Senlis Council is an international policy think tank with offices in Kabul, London, Paris and Brussels. The extensive programme currently underway in Afghanistan focuses on global policy development in conjunction with field research to investigate the relationship between counter-narcotics, military, and development policies and their consequences on Afghanistan’s reconstruction efforts.

The report gives us not only an idea about the current political and economic situation in the country but also the reasons behind the recent rise of Taliban in some parts of the country. The report is also critical of the U.S. policies which have encouraged Taliban to muster support among the people in the southern provinces. A large number of Afghan population is still facing economical hardships in spite of huge foreign aid which was channelled to the country after the collapse of Taliban regime five years back.

If the situation didn’t improve and the current half-hearted policies fail to deliver then it’s very possible that the rise of Taliban will continue not only in the south but throughout the country.

The complete report can be read by clicking on the link below:

It may be that the Afghans in the southern areas prefer life under the Taliban. In that case, the U.S. should continue to suport and help the northern areas and let the south enjoy their life with the Taliban. The southern Afghans should be told that if the Taliban attack across the line of demarcation that the southern zone will be treated as a free fire zone until all Taliban are dead. Leave it up to them to control the Taliban or suffer the consequences. The US cannot make everyone happy and prosperous while the SOBs attawck us at the same time. The southern Afghans lived in poverty before the US came. They can can continue to live in poverty with the Taliban. If they want a different life, they can move north.

As I think, insurgincies in the south has some reasons and some sources. One major fact is that, this area is very aimful and targeted for Pakistan, as I have seen, after the collaps of Taliban and other terrorists, US forces tried to make some major and big army bases in southren areas of Afghanistan.
I heard that Soviet Union’s leaders were saying that “Every one who has the Shidand and Qandahar Air bases they have the whole centeral Asia” so, it is absolutely clear that these terrorists who are comming to Afghanistan for attacks, they are feeding and training in Pakistan by its ISI intelligence cervice.
The aim for the Pakistan and it intelligence service is that, they are trying to keep buisy with security problems in this case these actions will retain the Americans from reconstruction and development of their army bases in the region.
As I am believed, Pakistan is an artificially country in the world, Pakistan will be always trying in the future to keep its existance by interfering to his other neighbors.
Pakistan does not want to develop his aims and strategy by interfering and invading to Afghanistan, countrary Pakistans action is quit limited to keep himself from decomposition.
I am believed as an Afghan National that, when we feel our self we will attack Pakistan to gain our lost territories again from Pakistan, not just this, but we will try to extend our territory by capturing and attaching Karachi and Lahor with our country. And that is what PAkistan also know about this.
If we come again to our point, if US and Coalition forces want keep themselves secure and assure from attacks outside the Deurand line, first they should try to reattach the Afghanistan’s previous lost lands again to Afghanistan and secondly, they should prepare a very strong around 800000 soldiers Afghan Mandatory Army from Afghan youths and completly support them to keep Afghanistan and US forces in secure situation.

What is wrong here. Am I missing something? The US ,military KNOWS the scumbags are in Pakistan. They watch them enter Afghan soil. report to Pak, and nothing happens. US Gov. says Pakistan is a needed and strong allie
What? How much MONEY do we give them a year. We know they have camps there to train IED’s people and suicide people. You think you’re actually going come out ahead in the long run fighting someone who has hate issues that go back 1350 years. This is your typical “Dragon in the swamp”
They chew away at us or will wait til we move on. They’re like VC. Pateint and commited. We commited 10.6 BILLION to Afgahnistan for 2007. Awesome, this I read on AOL. Rite after i read an E mail from a son in Afghanistan, asking me to buy and send him ratchet wrenches to fix choppers. We’re so thin on people it hurts. Spend 10.6 billion on securing the borders of Laos & Cambodia- I mean Pahistan and Iran SAME THING.
After 40 years we’re doing the same thing, and our heroes are taking the hits for it. Our men, women, and supportting families are so strong. Its so disgusting to waste our good people. At least our wounded are taking care of properly back home- well, they might be now. It took a battered soldier to bring things to lite, with the help of press. Yes, I am a verteran- sorry.
I never in a million years thought I would be doing something like this- But it’s just the same story- we just don’t learn. But if they cut supplys to out troops, I’ll go to DC, handcuffed, so I don’t slap anyone…

It is clear that the US knows everything, and if they want to close the Taliban chapter, they could do so in less than a month. But the US & Britan wants to take cridit from their Governments every time, the Talibans do a bomb blast or kills some.
What they say ? ” We are here to bring peace and stability in the reagion “. Actually they were the reason behind Taliban’s rise in Afghanistan. Back then they wanted to demolish Soviet Union.

And all the aid that came to Afghanistan in the past five years, is returning in one way or the other back to the Aiding countries, in different businesses. And most of Governamental departments are using that aid money for their personal benifits. And unless this corrupt system is not changed. there is no possitive impact of all aid comming.

People all over Afghanistan, specially Afghans in the southern regions are completly illetrate. They don’t know what is good & what is bad, these scumbags (Taliban) come and preach their idiology of Islam to these people and they start to think that killing others, might take them to Heavens. To my knowledge being a Muslim, I haven’t heard of such a think ” Kill inocent lives, you will be sent to heaven.” And the Taliban think-tanks now live in Pakistan. I have lived in Pakistan for nine years, and I know that scumbags “Taliban” or always advertising Jehad everywhere & all the time.

Unless our government doesn’t stop the illeagle refuge of Taliban in bordering privences of Afghanistan, the Taliban will rise, and sadly they might be able to take over southern regoins of Afghanistan.

It is the first time that I am posting a political comment, hope I will improove my skills in up-coming times.

As a Canadian I wonder what we are doing in a country that does not want us. We have suffered our greatest loss of life in 50 years and for what? I know that our brave men and women in the military believe that they are helping the Afghan people. Until we get Pakistan to step up and stop talking out of their blow holes we are going to keep losing precious lives.

i accept tht my brother NASEER comment is 100% pure .pakistan is an artifecial country ,it no need to emerge in the map of the world…. we will gain again our terrotoreis tht occupied by the pakistan ,and the peace never emerge in area till pakistan not handover our own area… but the US also should knw tht they will never progress till they not bomb pakistan bcs they use the ”afghan area ” to train terrorest thre we want our land back to clean with terrorest , we knw pakistan well ,,, and the US also should ask afghans wht to do wth pakistan ,afterwil the US will fail to reach target…
